Welcome to Word Catcher. By using our website, Telegram bot, or related services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Word Catcher helps you learn vocabulary from your own photos. You upload an image, choose the language you know and the language you want to learn, and our AI identifies objects and words in the picture and generates explanations, translations, illustrations, and audio. You may save words to your personal Word Book and review them later on the web or via Telegram.
2. Accounts & Guest Use
You may use certain features without creating an account, including uploading pictures and viewing explanations, subject to usage limits. Creating an account lets you save vocabulary to your Word Book, manage language preferences across devices, and purchase additional uploads. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Uploads & Your Content
You retain ownership of photos and other content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Word Catcher a limited licence to process, store, and display that content solely to provide the Service — including running AI analysis, generating vocabulary, illustrations, and audio, and showing results back to you. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal, harmful, sexually explicit involving minors, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
4. AI-Generated Output
Vocabulary lists, translations, explanations, illustrations, and pronunciations are generated automatically and may contain errors. Word Catcher is a learning aid, not a certified translation or educational authority. You should verify important information independently before relying on it.
5. Credits, Free Tier & Payments
Word Catcher is free to use on the web. You may upload pictures, generate vocabulary, and save words to your Word Book without payment. Optional paid packages may be offered for additional features or higher usage on certain channels.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to reverse engineer our systems, scrape data at scale, interfere with other users, upload malware, or use the Service for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with third parties such as Google sign-in, Telegram, Stripe, and cloud AI providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
8. Privacy
We collect and use information needed to operate the Service — for example, account details, uploaded images, saved vocabulary, language preferences, and usage data. We do not sell your personal data. Contact us if you have questions about how your information is handled.
9. Intellectual Property
The Word Catcher name, logo, website design, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them except as permitted by these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Word Catcher and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50 if you have not made any payment.
